GPS Tracks App Reviews

10 Customer Reviews:

I purchased this app on the hope I could plot routes easily. Unfortunately after spending about 2 hours on the app I still could not figure out how to decently make a route with a start and an end at the same place. Once a route is made, it is extremely difficult to modify it. So in its current version, it is better to stay away from this app.

Not working properly

It was difficult to create waypoints and when I finally did. They were gone next time I opened the app.

Between the iphone app, the ipad app, and the Mac app, and the Pro Subscription I finally have all the pieces required to really use my iPhone as an actual outdoors activity related GPS. There is a lot more to these apps than at first realized. Enough features that it takes some time to learn them and make use of the potential. I recommend becoming familiar with the software on all of these devices before depending on them in the outdoors.

The app is good because light, simple and integrated with Maps, but there are some bugs. Developer is working on a fix. An update hopefully will be available soon.

I use the iOS GPS Tracks app, and this is a great compliment to the app. I can import, automatically via iCloud, all of my tracks recorded through my iphone and display them on my macbook pro. Includes helpful realtime/speedup/slowdown which shows movement across the entire recorded session.

This APP is very robust and very easy to use across all platforms, which for me are the iMac, iPhone, and iPad. I have purchased more than a half a dozen APPs of this type, and this is the best by far. Responses back from the developer are very timely and courteous, so you can purchase and use this app with the confidence that there is support behind it. A job well done.

This is the path tracker I’ve been looking for, for quite a while, and I use it for motorcycle rides. I ended up spending fifty bucks or so with separate app purchases for iPhone and iPad (and optional subscription), and they all work differently enough that it takes a bit of getting used to. You can sync your routes on iCloud and/or Dropbox and in multiple file formats. The tracking hasn’t skipping on me once, a very common problem in the same area with several other trackers. A few bugs here and there, such as the Waypoint menu disappearing on the iPhone, and not being able to resync reliably after you’ve changed a route name, but it seems like a current product so I’ll look for improvements. I’m also hoping for the ability to drop a waypoint during an active track record, but it could be there and I haven’t found it yet. Many thanks to the developer, it’s a nice functional app.

Only option I suppose

There’re not many options for GPS tool on OSX. This one does the job, but has a lot of mildly infuriating bugs and many poor UI decisions.

I enjoy using GPS Tracks to review tracks of various trips. I don’t begin to use all of the features, but maybe in the future. I have the desktop version as well as the iPad version and it’s great to be able to work on the desktop and then view on the iPad. I have contacted the developed on more than one occasion; I have had problems and have requested features. He is VERY responsive. If it’s a bug, he’ll fix it; if it’s a request, he will consider adding it if at all possible. All in all, it’s a great app and I’m very happy with it.
